VPAA issues advisory on start of classes

The Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA) released an advisory today, January 2, 2022, outlining the rationale for the start of classes on January 24, 2022. Enrollment period for the 2nd semester continues until February 5th (see separate memorandum).

In the memorandum, VPAA Fr. Jesuraj Anthoniappen, SVD, Ph.D. cited the minimum number of class days that prevents further extension of the start of classes. He also accounted for the gradual restoration of utilities in the region.

Fr. Anthoniappen instructed faculty members to connect with their students in the first week of classes and ensure their academic preparedness in the aftermath of typhoon Rai (locally Odette). He also thanked the Carolinian community for their faith, resiliency, patience and kindness despite the difficult circumstances brought by the typhoon.

The complete memorandum is posted below.
