SBE holds ICBE 2019 in Indonesia

Left to right: Dr. Octavianus Digdo Hartomo (UNIKA Dean), Dr. Cecil Gantalao (Conference Co-Chair), Dr Melanie B. de Ocampo (SBE Dean), Dr. Challoner Matero (Chong Yuan Christian University, Plenary Speaker), Dr. Ridwan Sanjaya (UNIKA Rector), Representative of Ganjar Pranowo (Governor, Central Java), Anne Patricia Sutanto (Vice CEO, Pan Brothers, Plenary Speaker), Supriyanto (President Director, Bank Jetang, Plenary Speaker), Dr. Sentot Suciarto (Conference Co-Chair).

The 5th International Conference on Business and Economy (ICBE 2019) was successfully held last March 13-14, 2019 in Noormans Hotel, Semarang, Central Java, Indonesia.

This was made possible by the co-hosting of one of USC’s School of Business and Economics (SBE) ASEAN partner universities, namely Soegijapranata Catholic University (UNIKA). It is the first time that ICBE has been brought to Indonesia; the previous four conferences were held in Cebu City.

Approximately 60 papers were presented in eight parallel sessions by faculty researchers coming from seven different countries. The theme of the conference was “Creating, Managing and Distributing Wealth: Fulfilling the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) Goals.” A total of 12 USC SBE faculty researchers participated as delegates and presented their latest researches at the ICBE 2019.
