Pharm grad places 8th, USC 2nd top performing school

Adding to the recent trend of USC successes in licensure examinations, pharmacy graduate Danixzyle S. Cutamora (see photo above) placed 8th with an average of 90.88% in the Pharmacist Licensure Examination given last August 4 and 5, 2018 in key cities in the Philippines.

USC was also named as the 2nd top performing Pharmacy school in the country, with an overall passing mark of 96.72%. All 56 first-time takers of the licensure examination from the current batch of graduates, named Class Alpha, passed, living up to their moniker.

Only 2,927 out of 4,230 examinees hurdled the examinations nationwide.

In related news, Class 1993 visited the Department of Pharmacy on August 3, 2018, one day before the licensure examinations. The class celebrated their 25th anniversary and returned to USC and the Department to show their gratitude.

Class 1993 (see photo above) was welcomed by Yolanda C. Deliman, who the batch fondly remembered as their teacher, Miss Chua; Deliman is now Dean of the School of Health Care Professions. After a brief discussion on current initiatives and development of the Department and the University, the class toured the Hoeppener Building including its laboratories and a new Outcomes-Based Education (OBE) classroom.
