Carolinian tops Civil Engineer Licensure Examination

Engr. Lou Mervin Tristan P. Mahilum (photo), who graduated Cum Laude in May 2019, topped all 6,510 successful examinees of the Civil Engineering Licensure Examination given in November 2019. Engr. Mahilum obtained a rating of 93.25%.

The Civil Engineering Licensure Examination was administered by the Professional Regulation Commission in 11 cities, including Cebu, around the country. A total of 15,075 graduates took the examination nationwide; only 43.2% passed. Out of 47 first-time takers from USC, 37 (or 78.7%) hurdled the examination.

The USC Department of Civil Engineering offers PTC-ACBET-accredited programs in Civil Engineering and is CHED-designated Center of Development for Civil Engineering.
