Biology researchers grab 2nd place in DOH visual abstract contest

Researchers from the Mosquito Research Laboratory (MRL) of the USC Department of Biology grabbed 2nd place in the Visual Abstract for Allied Health Professional competition during the 6th Department of Health (DOH) Central Visayas Center for Health Development (CVCHD) Regional Research Congress on September 1, 2023 in Cebu City.

The winning visual abstract (see below) showcased the study entitled, “Detecting the Impacts of Humidity, Rainfall, Temperature and Season on Chikungunya, Dengue and Zika Viruses in Aedes albopictus from Selected Cebu City Sites.”

MRL Program Leader Dr. Frances E. Edillo and researchers Rhoniel Ryan J. Ymbong, Anthoddiemn Olin M. Navarro, Maureen Mathilde D. Cabahug, and Kristilynn C. Saavedrea represented the University.
