Advisory on 2nd semester classes

Latest: December 17, 2020

A joint memorandum from the Vice Presidents for Academic Affairs and Administration announced the adjustment of the academic calendar to afford professors and instructors time to prepare modules for the 2nd semester AY2020-21 and provide an extended break for students.

Classes will officially start on January 25, while work for employees will resume on January 4 after the Christmas holidays. Physical reporting to work is based on current MGCQ guidelines, but will be subject to updated IATF guidelines.

Fr. Felipe L. Muncada, SVD, Ph.D., officer in-charge of the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs, announced in an advisory earlier today, November 17, 2020 the modes of delivery for teaching and learning in the 2nd semester AY 2020-21.

The University will continue to deliver lecture classes fully online, according to the advisory, while virtual laboratories will be created for online delivery as appropriate.

Subject to government, i.e., Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) and Commission on Higher Education (CHED) regulations, some laboratory classes unsuitable for online learning may be delivered through a blended mode, if allowed. Strict health and safety protocols will be followed should this be realized in the future.

Enrollment for the 2nd semester will begin on January 4, 2021.
