Director of Libraries is Academic Librarian of the Year

Maxie Doreen L. Cabarron, Director of Libraries of the University of San Carlos, is awarded as the Academic Librarian of the Year (Visayas) during the 2017 Philippine Association of Academic and Research Librarians (PAARL) Awards given during the association’s Annual General Assembly on January 26, 2018 at the Bulwagan ng Dangal, Gonzales Hall, University of the Philippines Diliman, Quezon City.

Maxie Doreen L. Cabarron, Director of Libraries

The association is composed of librarians of institutions supporting scholarly research and formal education at the collegiate level and higher. The Academic Librarian of the Year award recognizes librarians for their outstanding national contribution to academic or research librarianship and library development in the Philippines. Two awards are given each year, one for an outstanding academic librarian from Luzon, and the other, for an outstanding librarian from the Visayas or Mindanao regions.
