USC is DHEI for modified CHED 2nd generation GE faculty training program

The Commission on Higher Education Memorandum Order No. 73, series of 2017 designates the University of San Carlos as a Delivering Higher Education Institution for the Modified CHED 2nd Generation General Education (GE) Faculty Training in preparation for teaching the new GE core courses in 2018.

Nine core courses are offered at USC namely Art Appreciation, Ethics, The Contemporary World, Readings in Philippine History, Mathematics in the Modern World, Purposive Communication, Life and Works of Rizal, Science, Technology, and Society, and Understanding the Self.

Training will begin on April 2, 2018; application for the current iteration of the program is now closed.
