Web-enabled programming workshop slated

The USC Library System, Department of Computer Engineering, and the American Corner-Cebu, in collaboration with Maker Initiative Singapore present Library MakerSpace: Web-Enabled Programmable Car (WeP-C) on Friday, July 12, 2019 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Science and Technology Library reading area, Josef Baumgartner Learning Resource Center in Talamban Campus.

The event features Engr. Mark Lven T. Palejaro, a B.S. Com.E. alumnus who currently works in Singapore and is the co-founder of Pocket Hologram, as well as an active volunteer in One Maker Group, Sustainable Living Lab, and in various National Geographic Channel events.

Twenty students, mostly from the Department of Computer Engineering and members of the Computer Driven Enthusiast Club, will participate in the first part of this one-day workshop. WeP-C allows participants to experience firsthand web-enabled programming which will facilitate understanding of robotics in the context of the 4th Industrial Revolution. The second part of the workshop is an open house for the USC community.
